Bizzy Babee Wrap {A Review & Giveaway}

I used to host the Breastfeeding Blog Hop and every Thursday was my night to sit down and dish about the ups and downs of nursing.  I handed the reigns over to the lovely ladies at Sisters n’ Cloth and Life of Wife, Mummy, and Nurse this past summer but I still get a hefty amount of traffic regarding breastfeeding on a daily basis.

I was recently asked to review a new line of nursing covers and being a one-time connoisseur of nursing covers, I figured it would be fun to go back in time and revisit all of the things I learned while nursing my boys.

First off- the Bizzy Babee Wrap is unlike any cover I have ever used. There are no straps, no buckles, no boning to hold the cover away from you body so you can see your baby (like that ever actually made a difference anyways).

The Bizzy Babee just goes over your head and drapes beautifully across your body.  The fabric is a nice light knit and comes in six great colors- from bright and vibrant to classic and understated.

Probably 6 months into nursing my son, we had to do away with the cover, which I think happens to a lot of people.  It just gets to the point where a cover brings more attention to what is going on and it’s easier to ditch it and be modest in other ways than to deal with a flailing baby who is more than likely going to flash everyone in sight with his ninja moves as he tries to get out from under the cover.

I totally get it- covers are not a forever thing, and some women don’t ever use them at all.  For me, it was easier in the beginning, when I was getting my footing and figuring out (and re-figuring out) how to nurse in public, to have my cover.

What I love about the Bizzy Babee is that it doesn’t scream out “New Mom Nursing Baby!”.  It looks like a piece of clothing- and, it covers more than just the front!  It covers your back and sides as well, which honestly, unless you wear a nursing tank all the time, are more likely to be exposed than anything else.

I definitely give this a thumbs up and I feel like some of these baby products are starting to come around and be pretty chic in their own right.  I love a cute Amy Butler print as much as the next mom, but at some point, it’s nice to step away from the modern nursery prints and go for classic, polished, and fresh- I think that is exactly what Bizzy Babee does best.
